Responsibilities of the Drill Press Operator

• Have a good understanding of equipment in responsibility and use equipment effectively.
• Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects or deviations from standards and adjust as necessary.
• Utilize the machines in the dept in order to cut/bend/burn pieces to size and specs as required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in order to keep up with production requirements.
• Always demonstrate and perform safety practices.
• Possess attentiveness to detail and can follow instructions and interpret drawings or descriptions of cutting needs.
• Perform accurate measurements and basic arithmetic.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and safekeeping of equipment.
• Maintain run time and production records.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements of the Drill Press Operator

• Must be able to read shop drawings and instructions.
• Must be able to accurately use and read measuring tools.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Job Type: Temporary

Salary: $11.00 to $13.00 /hour
